Dr. Bijlani is from Los Angeles and received her DVM from The Royal Veterinary College. With 16 years of experience, she's drawn to veterinary medicine by her love of animals and science. As Lead Doctor at the West LA clinic, she loves building relationships with clients and patients, working up complicated cases, and performing surgery and dentistry.

Dr. Mathews is from Birmingham and received her DVM from Auburn University. With six years of experience, she grew up begging her parents to visit the local animal shelter just for fun. As she got older, volunteering there sparked her lifelong love of animals, which combined with a passion for science led her to veterinary medicine.

Dr. Rodriguez received her DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has practiced for five years. She's loved pets since childhood but fell in love with the medicine and keeping pets happy and healthy. At the West LA clinic, she loves getting to know pets and their humans, and how obsessed people are with their pets makes her obsessed too.

Dr. Alam was born and raised in Orange County and received her DVM from Mississippi State. There was never a Plan B for her. She's always known she'd be a vet, driven by an undying love of dogs. Working with animals every day is her version of therapy. At the Pasadena clinic, she's known for being goofy, compassionate, and gentle with her patients.

For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.
24/7 Virtual Care
Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy
We offer a full-service pharmacy for prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your care team. You can pick up in the clinic or have items delivered to your door with optional autoship for ongoing needs.’

He had a bit of a traumatizing experience at the emergency vet, so they took tons of extra care and consideration to make him as comfortable and happy as possible. We have two wee Boys named Dreidel and Meshuga, and poor lil' Dreidel is epileptic. He had a horrible seizure in the weaning hours prior to twilight. Rushed him to Modern Animal first thing in the AM, and the staff was overwhelming kind, attentive, and supportive, It was the first time the Boys had been separated from one another, EVER, and they are ten years apart, and the fine and festive Folks at MA, went out of and above their way to accommodate and address both their emotional and physical needs.

Regular vet visits allow us to check your pet’s teeth and gums, listen to the heart and lungs, and evaluate joints for early signs of discomfort. We also review diet, weight trends, and hydration to make sure their daily routine is supporting their health. These exams help us make small adjustments before bigger issues develop.
The team at our West LA clinic supports new pet parents with vaccine timing, nutrition, and everyday care routines. Essential and All Access members also get 24/7 Virtual Care for help with things like diarrhea, mild vomiting, teething, crate training, and sorting out when an in-clinic visit is recommended.
We are not an emergency hospital, but the team at our West LA clinic offers primary and urgent care during regular daytime hours. In the event of a concerning symptom, Essential and All Access members can connect with 24/7 Virtual Care through the app for immediate advice and emergency direction when appropriate.
The West LA clinic offers preventive, routine, and urgent care for cats and dogs of every size and breed. We do not provide care for exotic species like rabbits, reptiles, or birds.

Our West LA clinic does not offer its own pet insurance plans, but we believe insurance can make veterinary costs easier to plan for over time. Since pet insurance is claims based, you’ll pay for your visit and then submit your claim to your insurer. We work with companies like Trupanion, Pumpkin, and Healthy Paws, and we’ll share the documentation required for reimbursement.
