Dr. Kethavath is from India and received his DVM from SVVU before earning his graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With 10 years of experience, he sees veterinarians as pediatricians for pets, caring for those who can't speak for themselves. As Lead Doctor at the NoPa clinic, he loves making a real difference in animals' lives.

Dr. Frankenberger grew up in Maryland and received his DVM from UC Davis. His interest in biology and medicine naturally aligned with his passion for animals. At the NoPa clinic, he loves witnessing the bond between people and their animals and helping strengthen that connection by keeping pets healthy and supporting owners through challenging times.
Dr. Jeon received his DVM from Ross University and has practiced for eight years. He's always wanted to be a veterinarian since he was young. At the NoPa clinic, his favorite part is working with dogs and utilizing Modern Animal's AI tools that help him work more efficiently and focus on patient care.

Primary Care
Modern Animal's NoPa clinic provides the full spectrum of day-to-day veterinary care your pet needs to stay healthy and well. This includes wellness exams, vaccines, nutrition support, parasite prevention, and treatment for common issues like allergies, ear infections, and chronic conditions. We’re here for every stage of your pet’s life.
Urgent Care
For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments at our NoPa clinic location. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.
24/7 Virtual Care
Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy
We offer a full-service pharmacy for prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your care team. You can pick up in the NoPa clinic or have items delivered to your door with optional autoship for ongoing needs.’
Vaccines
Our animal hospital in NoPa provides core and lifestyle-based vaccines to protect your pet against preventable diseases. Your care team will tailor a vaccine plan based on your pet’s age, breed, environment, and health history.
Dental Care
Modern Animal NoPa offers comprehensive dental services to keep your pet’s mouth healthy and pain-free. This includes cleanings under anesthesia, full-mouth radiographs, extractions when needed, and personalized care plans to address tartar, gum disease, and other oral health concerns.

Dr. Chris Frankenberger and the care team were so kind to me and my dog Marley. I could tell that they truly cared about Marley’s health and comfort. And they met some of my concerns without any judgment, and instead validated me and gave me a thoughtful solution instead! Definitely one of my best visits here :)

Modern Animal was hands down the best vet experience I've had. I'm so glad we made the switch. From a staff perspective, the nurses and doctors were prompt, incredibly efficient and helpful, and gave us options to return for a blood pull when my cat was having some issues. From a facilities perspective, the parking was so easy, the building is beautiful, and they even offer coffee upon arrival. This was the best decision we made!!

There was no wait; they took me and my skittish kitty directly into an exam room. Doctor Frankenburger is exactly the type of vet I always hoped I would get, (and never really had until now), He is approachable, listened well and gave sound advice. Shout out to Amy and the vet techs who kept my sweet boy calm during a bladder ultrasound! . It was so much more comfortable than other vets we've gone to. We will def come back!

Needless to say, that day had been my aha! moment that we'd found the vet we'd stick with for as long we possibly could.
