Dr. Huggins received his DVM from LSU and brings 20 years of experience to the Mueller clinic as Lead Doctor. He's drawn to veterinary medicine by seeing the joy animals bring to people and wanting to contribute to that. He loves finding solutions to problems through diagnostics and working with his care team. On days off, he's spending time with his family.

Dr. Mercado is from Puerto Rico and received her DVM from Western University. With nine years of experience, she grew up seeing stray dogs and cats and watching wildlife conservation shows. At the Mueller clinic, she loves helping innocent lives that can't treat themselves and seeing a dog's true personality shine after they feel better.

Dr. Womack received her DVM from the University of Georgia and brings 19 years of experience to the Mueller clinic. She's drawn to veterinary medicine by her love of science, nature, and animals. She loves solving medical problems and working with her team. On days off, she's bird watching. She's really into bird watching.

Primary Care
We provide the full spectrum of day-to-day veterinary care your pet needs to stay healthy and well. This includes wellness exams, vaccines, nutrition support, parasite prevention, and treatment for common issues like allergies, ear infections, and chronic conditions. We’re here for every stage of your pet’s life.
Urgent Care
For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.
24/7 Virtual Care
Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy
We offer a full-service pharmacy for prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your care team. You can pick up in the clinic or have items delivered to your door with optional autoship for ongoing needs.’
Vaccines
We provide core and lifestyle-based vaccines to protect your pet against preventable diseases. Your care team will tailor a vaccine plan based on your pet’s age, breed, environment, and health history.

When we got there, Harmony made sure that I had all of my questions answered and went above and beyond to get Goose the best care possible. She could see how scared I was and showed me compassion and grace while helping me navigate a scary situation. She even went through the entire invoice with me to make sure I understood everything. I have total confidence in the plan we have put together to get my pup back to 100%!

The whole staff is just wonderful. Dr. Womack and her assistant were so sweet and patient with all my questions, and you can tell they're super knowledgeable and truly care about what they do. Modern animal has been amazing. I started going recently when my dog needed a teeth cleaning and every bit of the experience was fantastic. The service was so friendly and attentive, the vets were great and knowledgeable, AND the price was significantly cheaper than I expected and that I had compared to others online. They even have free coffee drinks in the waiting room so I didn’t even mind going early on the morning. As a note, I don’t like downloading apps for random services. But their app is definitely worth it. Super easy to set up, lots of easy to access info, tons of updates during the whole day of the procedure, even a picture of my dog. Highly recommend!

Common Questions
Routine check-ups let us examine the mouth, ears, eyes, and skin and listen to the heart and lungs during a full physical exam. We also assess muscle tone and mobility to catch arthritis before it limits activity. Early findings guide simpler treatment options.
The team at our Mueller clinic supports new puppy and kitten parents with vaccine schedules, nutrition, and early behavior. Essential and All Access members can reach 24/7 Virtual Care anytime for questions about things like teething, itching, loose stools, coughing, and when to come in versus watch at home.
We are not an emergency hospital, but the team at our Mueller clinic provides full-service primary and urgent care during regular daytime hours. Should an urgent concern arise, Essential and All Access members can use 24/7 Virtual Care through the app for immediate support and next steps.
At our Mueller clinic, we provide wellness, primary, and urgent care for cats and dogs of every breed and size. We do not offer care for exotic animals like rabbits, reptiles, or birds.

Our Mueller clinic does not offer its own pet insurance plans, but we think having insurance is important because it can make veterinary costs more predictable over time. Since pet insurance is claims based, you’ll pay for your visit and then submit your claim to your insurer. We work with providers such as Nationwide, Pumpkin, and Trupanion, and more, and we’ll provide the documentation needed for claims.
