Dr. Dammici is from FloraBama, right on the Florida-Alabama line, and received her DVM from Auburn University. With eight years of experience, she grew up on a small family farm. As Lead Doctor at the Park Cities clinic, client education is extremely important to her. She wants clients to feel heard and empowered to advocate for their pets.

Dr. Auerbach is from Little Rock and received her DVM from Louisiana State University. She's always loved animals, but what really drew her to veterinary medicine was realizing she'd get to help people alongside their pets. At the Lakewood clinic, she loves watching her puppy and kitten patients grow into adults.
Dr. Mitra is from New Jersey and received his DVM from veterinary school in London. With 23 years of experience, he's always been intrigued by biology and problem-solving. At the Lakewood clinic, his favorite part is diagnosing complex medical cases and solving mysteries through careful detective work.

We provide the full spectrum of day-to-day veterinary care your pet needs to stay healthy and well. Urgent Care
For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.
24/7 Virtual Care
Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy
We offer a full-service pharmacy for prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your care team. You can pick up in the clinic or have items delivered to your door with optional autoship for ongoing needs.’

I am so so grateful for all of the people at this vet clinic! I brought my dog in when she was very sick - fever, vomiting, shakes, etc. They dropped everything to help my dog. I was able to leave her and feel completely confident that my pup would be taken care of! When we came for a follow up, everyone was so excited to see Carmy. They all truly cared to see her progress. Thank you all for keeping my pup so healthy!!

The staff is incredibly kind and gentle, making every visit a positive experience. One of the best things about them is their app—it allows you to get a quick response from a vet nurse whenever your pet needs help, making everything so much easier and more convenient. My cat actually enjoys going there! She gets a little nervous at first, but she quickly settles down because the team is so warm, patient, and welcoming. I couldn’t ask for a better place to trust with her care.

I can’t say enough good things about Modern Animal! The care for my dog has always been outstanding. My dog is pretty reactive at the vet and can be hard to deal with (dachshund…) but I know I can trust them to do everything possible to get him the best care despite his attitude! He’s really warmed up to Alex, one of the nurse/techs! He’s always feeding my dog plenty of treats to calm him and make going to the vet a happy trip! I can’t say enough good things!!! Thank you always, Alex! I’ve even gone to other locations to get the care he needed when our home Lakewood clinic was full and we get the same top notch service! I will gladly pay the membership for years to come!

The team at our Lakewood clinic helps new pet parents with first-year care, feeding guidance, and building healthy routines. Essential and All Access members also have 24/7 Virtual Care for things like mild stomach issues, coughing or sneezing, skin or ear concerns, and everyday reassurance between appointments.
We are not an emergency hospital, but the team at our Lakewood clinic offers primary and urgent care during regular daytime hours. In the event of a potential emergency, Essential and All Access members can reach 24/7 Virtual Care through the app for guidance and direction to an emergency facility when appropriate.
The Lakewood clinic offers preventive, routine, and urgent care for cats and dogs of any breed and size. We do not treat exotic species such as rabbits, reptiles, or birds.

Our Lakewood clinic does not offer its own pet insurance plans, but we believe insurance can help reduce financial stress when unexpected care is needed. Pet insurance is reimbursement based, so you’ll pay at the clinic and then submit a claim directly. We work with companies like Trupanion, Spot, and Healthy Paws, and more, and we’ll share the paperwork needed for claims.
