Dr. Kosich received his DVM from Texas A&M and brings seven years of experience to The Heights clinic as Lead Doctor. He's wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as he can remember. What sealed the deal was realizing the job is about people, helping families, building trust, and being part of meaningful moments. He loves the medicine, but relationships keep him coming back.

Dr. Guy-Naghi grew up in Houston with a lifelong love for animals. She spent time on her grandmother's ranch in Mexico, which gave her a deep appreciation for caring for animals. She received her DVM from Texas A&M. At the Rice Village clinic, she loves helping pets feel better and supporting the bond between owners and their animals by helping them better understand their pet's needs.

Primary Care
We provide the full spectrum of day-to-day veterinary care your pet needs to stay healthy and well. This includes wellness exams, vaccines, nutrition support, parasite prevention, and treatment for common issues like allergies, ear infections, and chronic conditions. We’re here for every stage of your pet’s life.
Urgent Care
For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.
24/7 Virtual Care
Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy
We offer a full-service pharmacy for prescription medications, preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your care team. You can pick up in the clinic or have items delivered to your door with optional autoship for ongoing needs.’
Vaccines
We provide core and lifestyle-based vaccines to protect your pet against preventable diseases. Your care team will tailor a vaccine plan based on your pet’s age, breed, environment, and health history.
Dental Care

We ended up saving a puppy from an unfortunate situation recently and I was forced to find a vet. I decided on Modern Animal for their ease of use and how we were able to make an appointment the next day through the app. I was a little nervous because it wasn't a "small local" vet but let me tell you! I will be transferring my two other doggies here IMMEDIATELY! EVERYONE in this office was amazing! I thought the vet tech was the actual vet because she was SO thorough and knowledgeable. She also clearly loves and is passionate about her work.

I was sooo impressed with Modern Animal's level of care. My cat Tobi is not the easiest patient, but the staff were so patient and attentive, making sure he was comfortable throughout the visit. They took their time and gave him as many Churu's and pets as needed to perform the tests to help with his diagnosis. They're helping us find the root of the cause of his issues and not just treating the symptoms like other vets we've visited before! Their customer service was also outstanding, they answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. It's clear they prioritize both pet and owner well being.

Regular exams give us time to listen to the heart and lungs, feel the abdomen, and look for new lumps or bumps that may need follow-up. We also review any coughing, sneezing, or digestive changes that could point to underlying issues. Early evaluation helps avoid unnecessary discomfort.
The team at our Heights clinic supports new pet parents with early exams, feeding plans, and routine first-year care. Essential and All Access members also have 24/7 Virtual Care for things like training questions, soft stools, sneezing or coughing, skin concerns, and what to do if your pet eats something they should not.
We are not an emergency hospital, but the team at our Heights clinic offers primary and urgent care during regular daytime hours. If you are concerned about a potential emergency, Essential and All Access members can connect with 24/7 Virtual Care through the app for immediate advice and direction to an emergency center if appropriate.
Our Heights clinic provides routine, preventive, and urgent care for cats and dogs of every size and breed. We do not see exotic pets such as rabbits, reptiles, or birds.

Our Heights clinic does not offer its own pet insurance plans, but we believe insurance can help make care more manageable over time. Since pet insurance is claims based, you’ll pay at the clinic and then send your claim to your provider. We work with companies like Pumpkin, Spot, and Nationwide, and more, and we’ll provide everything needed to submit claims.
