Dr. Royalty received her DVM from UC Davis and brings eight years of experience to the Berkeley clinic as Lead Doctor. She doesn't think she can do a different job. At the Berkeley clinic, she loves learning new information and improving while working with her awesome team. Her patients would describe her as a cat-loving lady.
Dr. Sindell is from St. Louis and received her DVM from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. With 16 years of experience, she's always been fascinated by the bond between people and animals. At the Berkeley clinic, she loves building relationships and helping pets feel comfortable and safe, especially senior pets in their twilight years.
Dr. Dunckel is from Tulare County, CA and received her DVM from Midwestern University. She's inspired by how veterinary medicine wraps many roles into one career: researcher, doctor, and teacher, sometimes all in the same appointment. At the Berkeley clinic, she loves feeling purposeful in her career and helping her adorable patients feel better every day.

Urgent Care
For health issues that should be addressed sooner than a routine visit allows, but are not emergencies, we offer same-day and next-day appointments. This includes things like minor injuries, sudden changes in appetite or behavior, or signs of illness.

Chat with a licensed veterinary professional anytime, day or night. Our team can help with general questions, triage concerns, and guidance on whether your pet needs to be seen in person.
Pharmacy

Annual exams help us track dental health, healthy weight, and vaccine protection while screening for parasites that often have no obvious symptoms. We may recommend blood or urine testing based on age and lifestyle to catch changes in organ function sooner. Preventive care keeps your pet comfortable as they grow and age.
The team at our Berkeley clinic helps new puppy and kitten parents with vaccine schedules, feeding plans, and routine care throughout the first year. Essential and All Access members can reach Virtual Care anytime for support with things like ear scratching, mild skin irritation, upset stomachs, or medication guidance between visits.
We are not an emergency hospital, but the team at our Berkeley clinic offers primary and urgent care during regular daytime hours. If you are unsure whether something may be an emergency, Essential and All Access members can use 24/7 Virtual Care through the app for guidance and referral to an emergency facility if needed.

Since pet insurance works through reimbursement, you’ll pay for services and then send your claim to your insurer. We work with companies like Nationwide, Pumpkin, and Trupanion, and we’ll provide the paperwork required for claim submissions.
